Well, the time has come. Matt is in Alaska with the band, and I am at home by my lonesome. A number of reasons I'm not there include: plane ticket difficulties, school, and work.
I just applied for a new job at my work, and got it! I am now a recreational aid(e). Yes, that sounds easy, and yes, it probably will be. I will be planning activities for the kids, and working alongside the recreational therapists. I am sad to leave my unit, because I have been working closely with mostly the same girls for 11 months. But basically the schedule was only weekends, so now I will be able to have most of my weekend off. I am starting tomorrow, for the 4th.
Matt's band is almost doing too well. They called me last night to tell me they have already sold about 75 CD's...In 2 shows! Because they didn't bring enough to supply that kind of demand for their remaining shows, Jen (Chad's wife) and I sent out 100 more CD's so they can sell to their hearts' desire.
The picture is the first day they got to AK. They are staying with our good friends, the Woodheads, in Anchorage.
From right to left, Matt, Cameron(drummer), Chad (Bassist), Jamie (guitarist), and Stacee(Jamie's girlfriend, and temporary band mom. Good luck Stacee!!)
They are in Denali tonight and tomorrow, and then in Anchorage doing shows until Saturday night.

Hope it is going well and the mosquitos aren't eating them alive! Northern saasliet (mosquitos) can be brutal. In Finland they joke that they each require their own hangers at the airport.
