First smile: April 26th (for her daddy, when I had been working on it all week!)
First giggle: June 10th
Rolled over: June 19th (From back to front)
Discovered her foot: July 4th
And here is her 4 month appointment stats:
Length: 24.5 in (60.6%)
Weight: 14.7 lb (75.25 %)
Head: 15.75 in (22.53%)
The doctor said she has good social skills, and is doing things like taking the pacifier out of her mouth, and putting it back in, which is a 6 month skill. The bad news is she has been favoring one side of her head, and her neck muscles aren't strengthening well on the other side. So our doctor told us to not use swings or bouncers anymore (I about died when she said that!). Also we have to do these neck stretches to her about 6 times a day, it's so sad, she hates them. The doctor said if it doesn't get better, we'll have to go see the baby helmet people in a few months so that her head doesn't get mishappen. Well that gave me some good motivation! We'll see how it goes!
Amelia is getting to be so much fun! Although we've only gotten a few giggles out of her, her smiles melt our hearts! She does a bashful smile, where she turns her head away, and smiles...a wide open mouth, can't get any bigger smile...and a smile only her mother can appreciate while she takes breaks during nursing. She is starting to bat at toys, and puts everything she can grab into her mouth...including my poor hair. I also think she is starting to prefer people she knows over strangers, which part of me thinks is cute, and part of me thinks is annoying!
My parents were able to stay with us for the past month, and we've had a blast! My mom has watched her while I work, and I know Amelia and I both will miss our "live-in nanny". Unfortunately, the trip was cut short because they found another cancerous mass in my mom's stomach. So she needed to go home to meet with her doctor, and she will probably start chemo next week. She is an amazing woman, and we are praying she can fight it this time around, too.
My mom would be mad if I ended with that sad note, so here are some cute pictures of Amelia:
Loving her bath with Grandma Beckham
Chillin with her "nanny"
Meeting Great Grandma Lewis for the first time (she was extremely tired here, but was fine with her after her nap)

She is growing too fast. I still need to come and see you. I just need to find a time when everything just stops for a while and I can get time to myself. Blah!
I hope all goes well with your mother.
