2 week birthday!

So yesterday was Amelia's 2 week birthday! (is there such a thing? Oh well, there is now!) It was also her original due date! She had her check up at the doctor's and she is doing great! Here are her stats:

Weight: 6 lb 15 oz (12th percentile)

Length: 20.75 inches (68th percentile)

Head: 13.25 inches (5th percentile)

So apparently what we have is a tall, skinny, small headed baby. Not bad I guess, we just need to get her weight up!

Amelia has been such a joy to have in our home. I am getting to know her little personality, and it's so fun. She is such a good baby. She doesn't really ever cry, which we definitely did not expect. She just sort of whines a little and makes sucking noises if she is hungry. When I told the doctor that I have to set my alarm clock at night to feed her, she was very surprised. We're thinking this probably won't last long, so we'll enjoy it while we can.

I am pretty much recovered from my C-section, and we are finally starting to develop a schedule. But I'll be honest, I really thought I'd have more time to get things done! Other moms laugh at me when I say this. But there was no warning! Although I'm going a little stir crazy at home, it's such a rewarding feeling to be able to care for my little girl.

Congratulations on your beautiful daughter! I love the name Amelia. C-Section recovery is rough but I'm glad you're feeling better. Good luck with the mommy thing, it does get easier. I got my babies on a really good schedule when they were little & that made all of the difference!
